As the Managing Director of mobile.international GmbH since April 2012, Malte is responsible for reinforcing and continuously strengthening the brand of mobile.de as well as strategically developing the business. His main focus is on future markets such as the new vehicle business, as well as strategic growth areas like the B2B business and Automotive Intelligence (AI).more >>
Malte has been working in the online sector for more than ten years and has excellent knowledge of the automotive business. From 2000 to 2005, Malte worked as head of Product Management and Business Development at AutoScout24. Following that, he founded the car information and evaluation platform autoplenum.de in cooperation with the publishing house G.V. Holtzbrinck in 2006. Since 2009, he has been working for the German market leader mobile.de.
After finishing an apprenticeship as wholesale and export merchant at Ferrostaal AG in Essen, he studied industrial economics at the University of Erlangen\Nürnberg from 1995 until 2000. Following University, Malte and some fellow students founded their first internet start-up which they sold at the end of 2000.
Malte is married and has three children. He spends his leisure time in the mountains hiking, skiing and mountain biking. Malte also has a keen interest in Berlin’s varied cultural scene including theaters, opera and museums.
