Product Manager Automotive

Job responsibilities

• Define and prioritize product requirements based on market analyses, customer input, business needs, as well input from different parts of the organization.
• Responsible for defining and maintaining quarterly product roadmaps, in close cooperation with the other members of the Automotive team.
• Initiate and manage projects setting up new site features & functionalities and optimizing performance through product enhancements. Work with other members of the Automotive team to make sure that new functionalities are communicated clearly towards internal organization, customers & partners.
• Produce all project documentation, including business cases, project specifications and product reviews.
• Work closely with (technical) partners to make sure that we provide the best end-to-end customer experience and maximize revenues.
• Product contact for the Automotive business. Interface with and maintain strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders within Marktplaats and Motors team in other countries when needed. Coordinate with engineering and QA teams to execute timely delivery of quality products.
• Follows product initiatives coming out of other Motors businesses within the eBay Classifieds family, giving Netherlands specific input where needed and finding synergies that can contribute to the Dutch business.
• Enthusiastic about eBay Classifieds Group platforms: will constantly use the sites and become as familiar with them as any top sellers or buyers, and even with new aspects of the site before anybody else.

Education, skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will be fluent in Dutch & English and will have;

• Top level academic degree.
• 3-5 years experience in a project-type environment - as a management consultant, product manager in another web company, in-house strategist for a major media company, or a project manager at a blue chip computer company.
• Strong understanding of on-line products and Internet technologies (HTML, XML/XSL, computer networks, database management).
• Analytical rigor.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of all departments business needs.
• Commercial drive: Knowledge of key business drivers and how product can influence the bottom line.
• Strong communication, presentation and people skills.
• Good problem solver.
• Ability to work under pressure to a deadline.
• Excellent mastery of Dutch and English (written and spoken).
• Successful experience as a team manager is a plus.
• Experience with agile development and experience in the Automotive business is a plus.
• Pleasant and fun, with a great sense of humor.
