The Role
eBay Classifieds US is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial group within in eBay that is dedicated to building the most trusted classifieds marketplace on the Web. We are a small but hard-working and fun-loving team that is looking for a summer intern that can provide fresh insights, hit the ground running immediately and help us grow the business. Enthusiasm, intellectual nimbleness, analytical savvy, and a passion for new technologies and social media are key!
Key responsibilities
• Help implement incoming feeds of data and content from strategic partners
• Find “what’s next” in social media and help business team document product enhancements
• Develop outgoing data feeds requirement
• Assist with ad hoc, creative web page development (HTML)
• Data mining and analysis
Requirements
• Team player, creative thinker, enthusiastic
• Eagerness to learn and gain experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Ability to multitask efficiently and change gears quickly
• Strong knowledge, passion, and heavy usage of social networking sites including Facebook & Twitter
• Strong SQL skills
• Ability to develop/edit simple HTML pages
• Familiarity with Google Analytics, other web metrics tools a plus
• Graduate or undergraduate level with Computer Science or Engineering focus
