THE ROLE

You will play an anchor role in the Services team, and contribute to the innovation of Marktplaats in this growth market. Your main responsibility is to drive and realize growth opportunities in the Services market. This involves developing new partnerships, creating and implementing new business and consumer value propositions, and identifying opportunities for new business models. You will be a self starter with strategic vision, but a hands on mentality. You have to be confident with high pace & fast changing environments and keen on delivering results. Your track record includes experience in business development or strategy consultancy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Initiate new and manage current strategic partnerships
• Improve and innovate propositions and supporting processes for the consumer and business segments
• Improve user site experience by translating user insights into product requirements
• Manage cross-functional project teams involving marketing and product development to build new business
• Analyze metrics, report progress and develop strategic recommendations

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will be fluent in English, qualified to Degree level and will have;
• 5-10 years work experience (at least 2 years experience with online business), preferably in business development
• Ability to generate and implement high impact business ideas
• Customer understanding and intuition for what works and what does not work on the web
• Advanced project management skills
• Analytical strengths
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Hands on mentality
• High energy level
• A proven track record of exceptional performance at all professional and educational career stages
