The Role
Based near Berlin, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for all current and new revenue streams for eBay Kleinanzeigen. Particularly, the Business Development Manager will be asked to identify growth opportunities and lead the implementation and optimization of all monetization initiatives.
The Business Development Manager will report directly into the General Manager eBay Kleinanzeigen.
The eBay Kleinanzeigen service was launched in September 2009 and aims to be leading and developing the German online classifieds market. The service has seen high double-digit growth in all user metrics in the first eight months after its inception.
Main Responsibilities
Strategic:
• Identify opportunities for growing the eBay Kleinanzeigen revenue streams while maintaining a great user experience
• Gather best practice within the global eBay Classifieds Group and apply them to eBay Kleinanzeigen
Financial:
• Manage the complete revenue line of the eBay Kleinanzeigen P&L
• Provide adequate financial planning, forecasting and control
• Ensure that we meet financial commitments short- and mid-term.
Operational & Commercial:
• Manage and improve current monetization product and feature portfolio
• Listing visibility features
• Advertising products incl. Google Adsense
• Strategic partnerships/direct deals
Additional Responsibilities
• Develop and manage Go-to-market strategies for new monetization features
• Analyze and identify optimization potential for main revenue streams
• Act as primary point of contact for strategic business partners
• Prepare and lead commercial discussions with partners
• Liaise operationally on a day-to-day basis
• Provide adequate and reliable reporting
• Interface with finance and legal teams
Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
• Hold a university degree, an MBA is a distinct plus
• Demonstrate the highest performance at all professional and educational career stages
• Display outstanding analytical and conceptual skills
• Be proactive, creative, high energy (a self-starter)
• Possess a minimum of three years experience in a challenging, high personal growth environment
